FAQ

1. I don't have my G1, is it possible to start the class?
You are allowed to begin the program before you have obtained your G1, but you will need to have it in order to begin your driver's education classes.
2. Where should I wait to be picked up for my private driving lessons?
As long as you live within the same city or town as our office, one of our teachers will come pick you up at your residence. Following the conclusion of the training, you will be driven back to your residence. If you do not reside in the same city or town as our office, you will be responsible for making the necessary arrangements to be picked up and dropped off at a central location in the area. When you schedule your in-car class, you and your teacher may have a conversation about this topic.
3. How long will it take you to finish the driver's education course required in Ontario?
The time needed to finish the in-class component is equal to four full days. Every class has a certain time, and you have to make sure that you can attend every one of those times without missing any of them. Lessons in the automobile, on the other hand, may be arranged to fit around the schedules of our younger drivers. It is required that the whole course be finished within one calendar year of the day when the course began.
4. What happens if I require more than 10 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction?
Our teachers will make every effort to plan the classes in a manner that will enable you to acquire all of the essential skills during the first six lessons that you take with them. Because of this, we will be able to devote the last four classes to review and practice. If you feel as if you still need further instruction after that, you are welcome to discuss scheduling additional classes with your trainer. Tell us if you believe you may need more than 10 lessons at the time of registration if you think you might need more than 10 sessions. If you book extra sessions in advance, we may be able to offer you a discount on the total cost of those courses.
5. How far in advance can I take my road test for the ministry?
After a minimum of 8 months have passed from the date your license was issued, you will be able to take your exam if you attend our course that has been authorized by the ministry. In every other case, you are required to wait at least a year.
6. Are the in-car sessions offered on a one-on-one or group basis?
The classes are one-on-one only. We take great pleasure in being able to provide you with personalized instruction that is tailored to your specific needs in order to make the most efficient use of your time. Only on a case-by-case basis are group classes made available.
7. When I go to take my road test, may I use my driving instructor’s car?
You may be able to utilize you’re driving instructor's vehicle to take your road test for an extra fee, but this will depend on the criteria set out by the testing center you choose. In addition, in order to give you some more practice before your exam, we provide one-hour refresher classes that you may attend with us shortly before it.
8. Do I need to take the whole course to become certified?
According to the MTO's regulations, no, in order to be eligible for a certificate of completion, you will need to complete the whole course. You will be qualified to apply for any insurance savings that you qualify for thanks to this certificate. For more information, kindly refer to the question "How do I get an insurance discount?"
